7075 is the most widely used high strength aluminum alloy. Although newer 7000 alloys have since been developed with improved specific properties, alloy 7075 T651 temper remains the most popular, exhibiting a good balance of properties required for aerospace, automotive, plastic molds, and highly stressed applications.
7075 T651 combines machinability, moderate toughness, resistance to corrosion and a good strength to weight ratio. Our 7075 T651 aluminum plate has an unpolished (mill) surface and a standard tolerance. It is mill certified to AMS-QQ-A-250/12, AMS-4045 and/or ASTM B209 specifications.
